Cranial Osteopathy

Cranial Osteopathy is a refined and subtle type of osteopathic treatment that encourages the release of stresses and tensions throughout the body, including the head. It is a gentle yet extremely effective and can benefit a range of conditions for people of all ages, from birth to old age.

Osteopaths that use this approach are trained to feel for small changes in the rhythms of motion in the head, spine and sacrum. The sacrum is the triangular bone at the base of your spine. This achieved by gently placing my hands on key points on your head and sacrum to interpret where there may be imbalances within your cranial – sacral links. Using gentle pressure and through holding your head or sacrum the tensions and torsions causing that imbalance are released allowing the body to find balance.
