About Tony Hewitt
A professionally qualified Sports Injury and Massage Therapist through study and full accreditation with the Association of Physical & Natural Therapies, I provide sports injuries treatment and rehabilitation along with general ongoing maintenance. I have worked with a variety of athletes and fitness enthusiasts to support their goals through either planned massage schedules aligned to their training plans, providing regular maintenance or successful treatment of injuries.
Why is this so important to me? My passion for seeing others reach their goals and potential comes from sport and fitness being a major part of my life. I played rugby for over 30 years and have completed multiple triathlons, including several olympic distance, 4 half ironman events and a full ironman. I have also completed multiple half marathons, cycle time trials and endurance cycle events such as the E’tape du Tour and Dragon Ride.
I understand and appreciate the pressures and efforts of daily life, whether as a busy parent, a desk-based professional or a physically demanding job. Everyone can benefit from deep tissue massage. In addition to treatment, I advise clients on self help techniques such as stretching and posture.
Think about it – you regularly service your car, put air in the tyres, top up the oil – taking care as well as driving it. You need to for it to get you from A to B. Your expectation of your body is constant and generally it is perfectly capable of getting you from A to B, but like anything it needs support and assistance to run effectively, on demand and not let you down.
Although primarily aimed at the active individual, treatment is not confined to sports injuries and maintenance, it is also for the aches and pains of daily life that can limit our ability to do what we want.
